Lo Studio Alto is a creative studio dedicated to multidisciplinary arts launched by Somewhere A Process in 2025 with the desire to provide to emerging artists a beautiful space of 80 sqm to live and to create, surrounded by an amazing architecture protected by the UNESCO, very close from the sea and totally disconnected from a world which runs pretty fast sometimes. Lo Studio Alto is located in Ortigia, the historical part of Siracuse in Sicily, in Italy.
The artist could stay 1 week at Lo Studio Alto. The only rule to follow is to leave one artwork in situ. The thematic of this artwork will have to be submitted before and validated by Somewhere A Process to fit with a global artistic direction for the venue. Depending on the artwork, this one could be presented on our E-Gallery an available for sale, made by order, after a residency. Our E-Gallery would open online in SS26.
Lo Studio Alto is open to welcome international graduated painters, designers, plastician artists, fashion designers, ceramists, wood makers and chefs.

Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in 2015 with honors, Azul Andrea is a plastician artist who studied in the Ann Veronica Janssens Studio. This half argentinian half hollandese artist draws inspiration from the following elements: light, space, water, wind, the universe, and the circle, this infinite line… Her compositions also arise from the encounter with matter, and the egg has become an ally in exploring the complexity of emotions and questioning our presence in the world. It evokes numerous images. The aim is, then, to bring light and color to something dead, something that no longer exists, to give it back its essential existence. The work of Claudia Llosa, Fausta, La teta asustada, and the short stories of Jorge Luis Borge, their infinities, their labyrinths, their mirrors.

Born in Bordeaux in 1988, Twotma is a French illustrator working with black China ink on white paper. Her style is recognisable for its bold, minimal and naïve brush stroke, inspired by everyday life —ordinary scenes, objects, animals, film or music references, anything that captures her attention in time. Her drawings aim to share an image that is gentle, slightly absurd, sometimes romantic or sarcastic, but always accessible and engaging. Through them, she invites people to remind themselves about pieces of their lives and celebrate the small details. It arrives that this artist turns her art into colorful paints, giving birth to faces and landscapes with an original vision of the world who surrounds her.

Utaco Okuno arrived in France as a violinist, but an arm injury led her to develop a practice that blends cooking and performance. Now based in Paris, she creates forms that compose an experience using food, sound, and time. In her projects, food becomes an element of space and narrative, sometimes shared with the audience after the performance.
Born in Tokyo, Shu Okuno is a performer and director. After studying human geography, he came to Paris to study mime at the Marcel Marceau International School of Mime, where he graduated. Also based in Paris, he creates, directs, and performs his own pieces. His works have been presented throughout Europe.
His work explores the relationship between the body and language and develops movement as an autonomous form. He subscribes to the idea that « movement is a translation of life. »
Utaco and Shu work together through UtacobentoU and OBUNGESSHA by Shu Okuno. They develop their practices between these two structures, adapting them to different locations, contexts, and projects.
Their work flows freely between various forms, at the intersection of travel, sustainable practices, health, and everyday life.
During this residency, Utaco and Shu will try to explore and continu to make Garance, their piece, travel and grow-up. Adding new movements and new scenes to the story. Still using Garance’s paintings as a tribute to her life as a woman and as an artist.
